According to the American space agency NASA, the sun emitted intense energy flares, classified as X 2.3 i.e. extremely intense X-class flares.
The energy release was detected by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory, which regularly observes the surface of the Sun to detect such events.
Solar flares are powerful discharges of energy from the Sun that can pose threats to life on Earth.
Although this energy causes the southern and northern lights on Earth, it can cause damage to communication systems, electrical grids and other critical infrastructure.
The Sun is currently entering the peak period of its eleven-year solar cycle, and during this time the solar season could potentially intensify.
Experts have repeatedly warned that powerful solar flares can damage critical infrastructure on which life depends.
