Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says that everyone has to come together to deal with the economic challenges facing the country and the economy will soon stand on its feet.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired the meeting of the Apex Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council in which foreign investment and economic situation were reviewed.
The Apex Committee meeting has been held at the Prime Minister’s Office in which Army Chief General Asim Munir took special part while former Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar and former Caretaker Cabinet members also participated. Former caretaker chief ministers also participated in the meeting, federal ministers, chief secretaries and assistants also participated.
The four provincial chief ministers also participated in the apex committee. Maryam Nawaz, Sarfraz Bugti, Murad Ali Shah and Ali Amin Gandapur attended the meeting.
In the meeting, the National Coordinator and DG of SIFC briefed the participants on the Council, former Caretaker Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet informed about their progress. A detailed briefing was given on ongoing investment projects in the country.
Before the meeting, Army Chief General Asim Munir had a meeting with the Prime Minister in which the overall situation of national and internal security was also discussed. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed all the participants in the meeting and the prime minister thanked the provincial chief minister for his arrival.
The Prime Minister said that SIFC is an important platform which will be continued, this platform is very important for economic development and foreign investment, it is good for everyone to come together to deal with the economic challenges facing the country. Future and time is needed.
He said that a staff level agreement has been reached with the IMF and the installment will be received from the IMF for a few days, but we need one more program which can last up to 3 years while it is very important to bring reforms under the program. are
The Prime Minister said that with 1300 billion rupees, we can break this deadlock, but the federal government cannot face the challenges alone, so everyone has to work together. It should come to the classes that can bear this burden.

Speaking at the meeting, Ali Amin Gandapour said that we are ready for cooperation, our share in the investment should be kept.
The Council assured the Chief Minister that the rightful share in the investment will be given.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that we are ready for cooperation in every way, focal person should be appointed who will stay in touch.
Murad Ali Shah said that steps should be taken to increase the capacity of the provinces, we are ready to work together with the council. Sarfaraz Bugti also said that we are already ready to be compatible and fully cooperative with the system.
