PESHAWAR/DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur has said that the distances have increased by dragging Pakistan into a private war. He said that the federal government tried to hold talks with the Afghan government but could not succeed.
He announced that the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will soon send a tribal jirga to Afghanistan, which will go there within two weeks and find a solution to the problem. Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur assured that a solution to the Afghan problem will be found soon.
Criticizing the federal government, the chief minister said that after failing to hold talks with Afghanistan, the provincial government is now taking steps to solve the problem through its own efforts. He sarcastically said that the name of Pakistan Studies should be changed to “Makeup Pakistan” and also targeted Maryam Nawaz, saying that she pretends to be a grandmother and does makeup.
His statement has created mixed reactions in political circles and the public. The people have demanded an immediate and practical solution to the Afghan problem.
