According to Pakistan Muslim League (N) former Prime Minister and League President Nawaz Sharif is unhappy with the heavy taxes imposed on the people in the budget of the next financial year.
According to League sources, President PML-N is angry and upset with the heavy taxes levied on white-collar and low-income groups in the current budget. This is the reason why it was decided not to participate in the budget discussion and approval process.
Yesterday, Nawaz Sharif’s leave request from the budget session was sent to the National Assembly Secretariat. Which was approved by Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, but no excuse was given for non-participation in the budget session.
The sources of the PML-N say that on the occasion of the debate on the budget in the National Assembly, all the members of the League were instructed to be present in Islamabad and participate in the meeting of the National Assembly, but the government seats in the House were seen empty.
It should be noted that the federal government had presented the budget for the next fiscal year on June 12 this month, for which the budget session of the National Assembly is ongoing.
