The federal government called a special meeting of the federal cabinet on May 9 at the Parliament House.
The Federal Cabinet will celebrate May 9 as Black Day and Solidarity Martyrs Day, Punjab and Balochistan Assemblies have also been convened on May 9.
A resolution condemning the May 9 tragedy will be brought in the Punjab Assembly session and ordinances will also be presented on behalf of the government.
According to the sources, a resolution related to the May 9 tragedy will be presented in the meeting of the Balochistan Assembly, in which the perpetrators of the tragedy will be requested to be punished.
It should be noted that after the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan on May 9, 2023, significant unrest was seen as a result of violent riots across the country.
On May 9, rioters attacked military installations, torched and staged demonstrations at various locations across the country, during which hundreds of people were arrested.
