Islamabad: A 4-member committee was formed to investigate the National Assembly incident.
Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq formed a 4-member fact-finding committee to investigate the issue of entry of security personnel into Parliament House and arrest of PTI members.
A 4-member committee under the chairmanship of Additional Secretary Iftikhar Ahmed will investigate the incidents within the Parliament premises and prepare its report.
Joint Secretary Rizwanullah, Arshad Ali Khan and Deputy Sergeant at Arms Raja Farhat Abbas are included in the fact finding committee.
Apart from this, Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar presented a motion in the assembly for a better running of the parliament and a plan of action. The National Assembly unanimously approved the motion to form a parliamentary committee.
The committee will have 16 members and there will be equal representation of the government and the opposition. This committee has been established to make the Parliament functional.
