Senior Pakistani showbiz actress Shagufta Ijaz has revealed that she had to seek help from a mental health doctor after the death of her husband, filmmaker Yahya Siddiqui.
Recently, Shagufta Ijaz has talked about her mental health and the problems related to it in her vlog after the death of her husband. The actress shared a vlog on YouTube five months after her husband’s death, in which she said that her mental state was affected after Yahya Siddiqui’s death and it took her a long time to accept this shock.
Shagufta Ijaz said that she took time and has now decided to talk to the followers of her YouTube channel once again. The actress said that after her husband’s death, she had locked herself in her room and during this time she became closer to her daughters, while her children took great care of her during this difficult time.
She added that people say that behind every successful man there is a woman, but she believes that behind every successful woman there is also the cooperation and support of her husband. The actress said that her husband was her support system.
Shagufta Ijaz also said that after her husband left, she became severely depressed and to improve her mental health, she took sessions with a mental health doctor. The doctor told her that the grief of losing a partner lasts for at least six months, while with the help of the doctor, she has now improved more than before.
