WASHINGTON DC: US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell has said that he will not leave his post even if President-elect Donald Trump gives orders.
Powell attended a press conference after the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting where he was asked if he would resign if asked, to which Jerome Powell said no.
It should be noted that Jerome Powell had a strained relationship with Trump during his first term and there are widespread expectations that the returning president may try to oust Paul.
On the other hand, the Chairman of the Federal Board said that the attempt to remove him before the expiry of his term is not allowed under the law.
