ISLAMABAD: The rate of inflation in the country has increased once again while the prices of 19 essential items have increased further.
The weekly rate of inflation has recorded an increase of 0.28 percent while the annualized rate of inflation has also increased to 15.02 percent in the same week. Meanwhile, the prices of 19 essential items of daily use also increased.
In the weekly inflation report released by the Federal Bureau of Statistics, it has been stated that the prices of 9 essential commodities decreased this week, while the prices of 23 remained stable.
According to the report, during the recent week, tomato prices increased by 26.24 percent, mung dal prices by 9.86 percent, chickpea prices by 3.15 percent, flour prices by 2.10 percent, diesel prices by 2.01 percent, LPG Prices have increased by 1.50%, mustard oil prices by 0.65%.
Similarly, firewood prices increased by 0.35%, garlic prices by 1.31%, chicken prices by 0.96% and egg prices by 0.68%.
On the contrary, 1.15% in potato prices, 7.02% in onion prices, 0.27% in sugar prices, 2.83% in nail prices, 0.72% in dal mash prices, 0.09% in basmati rice prices. Percent and agar prices have decreased by 1.82 percent.
According to the statistics, the inflation rate for the group having income up to 17 thousand 732 rupees per month on an annual basis during the recent week increased by 0.27 percent to 10.29 percent, from 17 thousand 733 rupees to 22 thousand 888 rupees per month. The rate of inflation for the income group stood at 14.42 percent with an increase of 0.28 percent.
Similarly, the inflation rate increased by 0.27 percent to 17.99 percent for the income group from 22 thousand 889 to 29 thousand 517 rupees per month, the inflation rate increased by 0.28 percent for the income group from 29 thousand 518 rupees to 44 thousand 175 rupees per month. with 15.47% while the rate of inflation for the group having an income of more than 44 thousand 176 rupees per month has been 13.77% with an increase of 0.28%.
