Oxford: Research shows that eating too many cakes, crispy chips and burgers can cause serious damage to the human body in just three weeks.
A study from the University of Oxford found that such foods, which are high in fat, are dangerous for the heart, even if people do not gain weight.
In tests, one group of people were given a diet high in saturated fat or polyunsaturated fat, and another group was asked to eat foods high in healthy fats, such as oily fish and nuts, for 24 days.
At the end of the study, none of the groups gained weight, but those who were eating more fat had worse health outcomes and scans showed an increased risk of heart disease.
