ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong in which they discussed in detail the development of Pakistan-China relations and security measures for Chinese citizens.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived at the Chinese Embassy. Ambassador Jiang Zedong welcomed the Federal Interior Minister. In the meeting, discussions were held regarding the recent visit of Pakistan Prime Minister.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the recent visit of the Prime Minister has strengthened the relationship of friendship with China, the President, Prime Minister and senior leadership of China have always supported Pakistan.
The Federal Interior Minister informed about the measures to protect the Chinese citizens across the country including Islamabad. He also briefed on the security plan for Chinese engineers and staff working on CPEC and other projects.
Mohsin Naqvi said that comprehensive and effective SOPs have been made for the security of Chinese citizens, a separate force SPU is being created in Islamabad for foreign citizens. The protection of the Chinese brothers who are working for the construction and development of Pakistan is the first priority of the government of Pakistan. It is trying not to harm any Chinese citizen. Nothing can create a rift in the eternal friendship between Pakistan and China. The conspiracy will never succeed.
The Chinese ambassador expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements, the Chinese ambassador said that Pakistan and China are all-weather friends, and attach great importance to relations with Pakistan.
Federal Secretary Interior Khurram Ali Agha and senior officials of the Chinese Embassy were also present in the meeting.
