ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet has approved the budget documents for the new financial year, salaries will be increased by 25 percent and pension by 15 percent.
The Federal Cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Budget proposals were presented in the meeting which was approved by the cabinet.
In the cabinet meeting, the package was approved for farmers, youth, industries, all the schemes will be announced by the federal finance minister in his budget speeches in the next financial year.
The cabinet approved a 25 percent increase in the salaries of employees in grades 1 to 16 and 20 percent in grades 17 to 22. Similarly, the pension will be increased by 15%.
During the meeting, the prime minister ordered all the officers to leave the cabinet meeting, on which all the officers got up and came out of the cabinet meeting and only the ministers remained, the prime minister instructed that confidentiality be maintained.
