Washington: There is no doubt that fruits and vegetables are essential for human health, but some fruits and vegetables are more likely to contain pesticides than others.
According to one study, about three-quarters of all fruits and vegetables that arrive in supermarkets or delivery orders are contaminated with pesticides.
In one study, scientists analyzed 46,569 samples of 46 fruits and vegetables tested by the US Food and Drug Administration and the Department of Agriculture. Scientists identified 13 fruits and vegetables that had higher levels of pesticide exposure than others, with strawberries at the top. So don’t forget to wash the following 13 fruits thoroughly before eating them.
1) Strawberries
2) Spinach
3) Bananas
4) Mustard greens
5) Potatoes
6) Pears
7) Peaches
8) Apples
9) Grapes

13) Green beans
More than 90% of samples of strawberries, apples, cherries, spinach, peaches and grapes were found to contain residues of two or more different pesticides, while a total of 210 different pesticides were detected across all 13 fruits and vegetables.
