Islamabad: The crackdown against smuggling was intensified, 565 metric tons of sugar, 4127 stocks of cigarettes, 1322 bags of clothes and 0.1986 million liters of Iranian oil were seized from across the country.
FBR officials say that the concerned agencies recovered 99 cigarette stocks from Multan, 3864 from Quetta and 164 from Karachi, 133 from Multan, 483 from Karachi and 706 from Quetta. 0.019 million liters from Peshawar, 0.016 million liters from Quetta and 0.135 million liters of Iranian oil have been seized.
Officials further said that since September 1, 2023, 3036 metric tons of fertilizer, 262 metric tons of flour, 34626 metric tons of sugar, 236547 cigarette stocks, 247133 cloth bags and 6.055 million liters of Iranian oil have been exported from across the country.
FBR officials say that operations against smuggling will continue.
