Riyadh: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the economic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have entered a new era.
A delegation headed by General Secretary Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Issues of mutual interest were discussed in detail in the meeting. Extraordinary warmth was expressed regarding the further development of economic relations from both sides.
During the visit of the Saudi Foreign Minister to Pakistan, the progress on Saudi investment was reviewed. The Saudi delegation expressed deep interest in investing in Pakistan.
Shahbaz Sharif said that we want to benefit from the experience of the successful reform policy of the Saudi government. The long-standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are getting stronger.
He said that economic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have entered a new era. Progress is being made during the Saudi delegation’s visit to Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked the Saudi Crown Prince for the warm welcome and excellent hospitality. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Petroleum Minister Mossadegh Malik participated in the meeting. Information Minister Ata Tarar, Federal Minister for Power Owais Leghari, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan and others were also present.
Al Tawijri said that Saudi investment in Pakistan has started working on priority and war footing. A delegation comprising Saudi business community and investors will visit Pakistan.
Al Tajweeri briefed Shehbaz Sharif in detail regarding Vision 2030 and said that we want economic relations to move forward in the context of Saudi Vision 2030.
The prime minister was also given a detailed briefing on the reform agenda of the Saudi government.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Riyadh to attend the special session of the World Economic Forum in Saudi Arabia.
Shehbaz Sharif was received at Riyadh Royal Airport by Deputy Governor Prince Muhammad Bin Abdul Rahman Bin Abdul Aziz, Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia and other diplomatic staff. During his visit to Saudi Arabia, Shahbaz Sharif will meet with important personalities including Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
