Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz increased the honor of Punjab Police by wearing uniform.
In one of his statements, the PML-N leader responded to those who criticized Maryam Nawaz for wearing police uniform. He said that the group was criticizing whose leader was not ready to recognize even his daughter.
Uzma Bukhari said that all over the world, heads of state wear uniforms and increase the honor and dignity of their forces. Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also did the same during his regime, Maryam Nawaz maintained this tradition.
He further said that there is no need for Maryam Nawaz to burn and rot for this act, she increased the honor and dignity of Punjab Police by wearing police uniform.

On the other hand, Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Umar Ayub criticized the action of Maryam Nawaz and said that this is what is happening in the country. The Chief Minister came to the parade in police uniform, this is a non-serious government, no policy statement, no talk on inflation.
