The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed the death of one of its soldiers in a Hamas attack in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis area.
According to Israeli media, Hamas fired a rocket at the camp of the Egoz unit near Nasir Hospital in Khan Younis, killing commando Alon Kadriashov and injuring 16 soldiers, including 6 officers who are said to be in critical condition.
A Hamas activist fired a rocket at a building used as a military camp. With this death, the number of Israeli soldiers killed in Israel’s ground operation against Hamas has reached 254.
Hamas also released footage of the incident, showing its mujahideen launching an RPG at a building where Egos troops are stationed.
In addition, at least 8 people including 5 children were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on a vehicle of Palestinian citizens in Gaza.
A local police officer was with his family on a busy street in al-Shuja’a neighborhood when a missile was fired at his car, Hamas’ media office said. A number of passers-by were also martyred in the attack.
