In the first month of this financial year, Pakistan’s food exports have seen a 45% increase, in July, food products worth more than 470 million dollars were exported.
According to the report of the Institute of Statistics, food worth more than 475.7 million dollars was exported in July 2024, food worth 132 billion 44 million rupees was exported in local currency.
According to the report, the export of rice, including basmati, increased by more than 135%, rice worth 205.7 million dollars was exported in July, the export of sugar increased by 590%, the volume was 2.39 million dollars, and the export of vegetables was 100%. Percentage increase, 2 crore 88 million dollars were exported.
Exports of fruits increased by 13%, the volume was more than 4 million dollars, oilseeds and fruits exports also recorded an increase of 94%.
Exports of meat increased by about 6%, the volume was 36.8 million dollars, while exports of tobacco, fish and spices recorded a decrease.
