Two Israeli reservists were killed in a clash with Hamas militants in the Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the deaths of its soldiers. The Israeli military said that 37-year-old Kalkdan Maher and 28-year-old Adu Aviv were killed in the clashes in the central Gaza Strip.
Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said in a statement on Telegram that the two soldiers were ambushed in two separate attacks. One attack was carried out in al-Maghraq area of the central Gaza Strip and the other in the “Natarim Axis”. This area is located between North and South Gaza.
Al-Qassam Brigades said that several occupying soldiers were also injured in this attack, while Israel said that one soldier was seriously injured and his condition is critical.
It should be noted that since the clashes between Israel and Hamas started on October 7, 2023, a total of 608 Israeli soldiers have been killed so far.
