Lahore: Kisan Ittihad has announced nationwide protest from May 10. Chairman Kisan Ittehad Khalid Hussain Khokhar has said that after Friday prayers on May 10, they will start a protest from Multan and hold a symbolic funeral for agriculture.
Talking to private TV, he said that farmers have lost 400 billion rupees due to the wheat scandal, 6 crore farmers have been slaughtered through corruption. Foreign exchange was wasted.
Chairman Kisan Etihad Khalid Hussain Baath has also written a letter to the Prime Minister in this regard, in which it has been said that the farmer is currently facing difficulties and if the farmer’s wheat is not bought, the farmer will not be able to cultivate cotton and other crops.
Jamaat-e-Islami also held protest camps in more than 15 places in Punjab and Sindh in favor of farmers’ demands, protest camps and demonstrations were held in Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujarat, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Rawalpindi, province. In Sindh, protest camps and demonstrations were held in various districts including Dhar, Ghotki, Mirpur Khas.
