There was a protest against Shakib-ul-Hasan outside the Sher Bangla Stadium in Dhaka yesterday. South African and Bangladeshi teams were practicing in the stadium at the time of the protests.
Shakib-ul-Hasan while talking to Bangladeshi media said that I was going back to Bangladesh but now it seems that I will not be able to go, I took this decision due to security reasons and this is my personal security issue.
He said that I feel that my decision not to return to the country is final.
Shakib Al Hasan was to participate in the Test series against South Africa and his name is also included in the squad for the first Test.
It should be noted that Shakib Al Hasan had expressed his desire to play the last Test match of his career at home ground.
