Islamabad: The District and Sessions Courts of Islamabad acquitted PTI founder Imran Khan from both the cases of Shehzad Town police station related to the May 9 tragedy.
Judicial Magistrate Umar Shabbir gave a reserved verdict on PTI founder’s pleas of acquittal. The court acquitted the accused on the basis of insufficient evidence.
Lawyers Mirza Asim Baig and Naeem Panjutha argued for the acquittal of PTI founder.
Lawyer Mirza Asim Baig said in his arguments that the FI was registered against founder PTI on behalf of an unauthorized person, the founder PTI was accused of 109 but no evidence could be presented.
