Quetta: The Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of heavy rains in Balochistan from Wednesday, which may cause flooding in the rivers.
The Meteorological Department has warned that there may be heavy rain in different areas of Balochistan from April 17, due to which there is a risk of flooding in rivers and streams in various areas including Kech, Gwadar, Awran, Kharan, Panjgur, Nushki Kalat.
According to the Meteorological Department, apart from Balochistan, the forecast is likely to remain partly cloudy in other parts of the country.
According to the warning issued by the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain dry in most parts of the country tonight. However, in South-West Balochistan, besides remaining cloudy, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thunder.
On Wednesday, the weather will remain dry and partly cloudy in most parts of the country. However, there is a possibility of wind/thunderstorm at most places in Balochistan and heavy rain/hailstorm at some places.
Similarly, the weather will remain dry and partially cloudy in Islamabad and Gir two districts, while the weather will remain dry and partially cloudy in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. However, rain with strong winds and thundershowers is likely in Waziristan, Tank, Bannu and Kurram in the evening/night and the weather will remain dry in most districts of Punjab.
The areas of Balochistan are Gwadar, Kech, Awaran, Chagai, Kharan, Pasni, Ormara, Lasbela, Khuzdar, Kalat, Nushki, Jhal Magsi, Nasirabad, Sibi, Kohlo, Dera Bugti, Loralai, Harnai, Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pushin, Gale Saifullah, Mastung, Sherani, Doab, Musa Khel and Barkhan are likely to experience wind/thunderstorm and heavy/torrential rain and thundershowers at some places.
In Sindh, heavy winds and thundershowers are likely to occur in Dadu, Larkana, Jacobabad, Padaidan, Qamber Shahdadkot, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Karachi in the evening and night.
Similarly, the weather in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan is likely to remain dry and partly cloudy.
