ISLAMABAD: Pakistan said that it regrets the veto of the resolution of Palestine’s membership in the United Nations by the United States.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a media briefing that Pakistan believes that the time has come to give full membership to Palestine to the United Nations. America’s veto of Palestinian membership resolution regretted.
The spokesman further said that giving Palestine, which has been oppressed for 75 years, the membership of the United Nations will be a confirmation of their right to self-determination and will be historical justice. The Palestinian people have the right to live in an independent and independent country according to the geographical boundaries of June 4, 1967, with Al-Quds as its capital.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that a delegation of Saudi ministers led by Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, visited Islamabad. Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia discussed global and regional issues.
The two ministers shared views on the growing instability in the region and called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and an opening for humanitarian aid access.
