Prices of petroleum products are likely to decrease from May 1.
According to the report of Moqar Qaumi newspaper, after the reduction in the price of Brent crude, the price of petrol is likely to decrease by Rs. 5 and the price of diesel by Rs. 8 per liter.
The government may reduce the price of petrol by around Rs 5 per liter from Rs 293.94 to Rs 288 per liter on May 1 at 12 pm tonight.
Diesel price may increase by Rs 8 per liter from Rs 290.38 to Rs 282.38.
The price of kerosene oil is likely to decrease by Rs 8.03 paise and the price of light diesel oil by Rs 5.37 paise per litre.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will send its recommendations regarding the prices of petroleum products to the Finance Division today.
