Bishkek: Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Amangazyev Almaz has said that the situation has been brought under control. The culprits will be brought to justice soon.
Pakistani Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Hasan Zaigham met Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Amangazef Almaz. In the meeting, the Ambassador informed about the situation of Pakistani students in the capital Bishkek and the concerns of their families.
According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Pakistani Ambassador Hasan Zaigham urged the Kyrgyz government to give priority to the protection of Pakistani citizens.
On this occasion, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan said that the authorities in Bishkek have controlled the situation and the situation has now returned to normal. Local police are providing full security to all the hostels.
He said that 14 foreign nationals, including some Pakistanis, have been given first aid and one Pakistani national is currently undergoing treatment.
The deputy foreign minister added that the president of Kyrgyzstan himself is directly monitoring the matter and the government will take legal action against the perpetrators of yesterday’s attack.
