Bishkek: The head of internal affairs in Kyrgyzstan’s capital, Bishkek, denied reports of casualties in clashes between students.
Bishkek’s head of internal affairs said in a statement that on May 13, there was a clash between local and non-local students in the university hostel. 3 foreign students involved in the brawl were detained.
The statement of the head of the internal affairs department of Bishkek city has come out on the issue of violence against foreign students, including Pakistanis, in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
He said that the reports of students being killed in the conflict are false. Local students protested against the incident and demanded action against those responsible. Despite the apology of the detained students, the protestors refused to disperse, but they dispersed after negotiations.
