ISLAMABAD: Red alert has been issued to all post offices and courier offices on the issue of threatening letters being delivered to high-profile personalities.
According to the sources, if any letter is addressed to any high profile person, it will be scrutinized, the letter will not be opened but after checking from various aspects it will be allowed to be posted. The names and parentage written on top of the letters should also be matched to check their authenticity.
The decision was made after looking at arsenic powder in letters sent to high-profile personalities.
In the ongoing investigation in CTD, the CCTV cameras nearest to the post office are being checked but so far no help has been found from the CCTV cameras.
It should be noted that the judges of Islamabad and Lahore High Court have received threatening letters.
