Islamabad: The federal government has reduced the prices of petroleum products by 15 rupees 39 paisa and diesel by 7 rupees 88 paisa per liter. The prices of petroleum products will remain unchanged for the next 15 days.
The federal government has reduced the prices of petroleum products for the second time in a month.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol per liter has decreased from Rs 288 49 paise per liter to Rs 273 10 paise per litre.
According to the notification, the price of high speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 7 88 paise from Rs 281 96 paise to Rs 274 8 paise per litre.
Similarly, the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs 9 86 paise per liter and the price of light diesel oil has been reduced by Rs 7 54 paise per litre.
According to officials, the rate of petroleum levy on petrol and high speed diesel is Rs 60 per liter which is the maximum limit of petroleum levy.
Similarly, the rate of petroleum levy on kerosene is 0.5 rupees per liter and on light diesel oil this rate is zero, however, since the prices of kerosene and light diesel oil are deregulated, the government does not announce them.
