Islamabad: After the announcement of the general elections, the political parties started the struggle to get specific seats in the National Assembly, for which the formula has also been released.
According to the formula released by the Election Commission in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one reserved seat for women will be given at 4.45%. In Punjab, a specific seat will be allotted to women at 4.40%.
Similarly, women will get one seat for 4.35 seats in Sindh and one seat for women will be allotted for 4 seats in Balochistan.
According to the official and final results and the party position so far, the Muslim League-N is in a position to get 15 out of 32 seats in the National Assembly from Punjab, while the People’s Party has one from Punjab, the Muslim League-Q and the Stability Party jointly. Will be able to get a seat.
From Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PML-N, PPP and JUI are in a position to take one seat jointly. 10 out of 15 reserved seats for PPP women from Sindh, MQM will get four seats.
9 seats in the National Assembly for women from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 14 reserved seats from Punjab will be decided by joining a party of independent members.
