ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office summoned the Charge d’Affaires of the Kyrgyzstan Embassy for a demarche.
The Director General of the Foreign Office conveyed to the charge d’affaires of the Kyrgyz Embassy Pakistan’s deep concern over reports of violence against Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan and said that the Kyrgyz government should take all possible measures to ensure the safety of Pakistani students.
The Foreign Office has said that the Government of Pakistan takes the issue of safety and security of its compatriots worldwide seriously and will take all necessary steps to ensure their welfare.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has issued instructions to the Foreign Office to keep an eye on the ongoing situation in Kyrgyzstan and provide full assistance and facilities to Pakistani citizens there.
