Pakistan: The evidence of the cast of votes of the deceased was submitted to the Election Commission.
A hearing was held on the application of Pervez Elahi regarding rigging in the PP 32 by-election, in which a stand was taken that rigging took place in the entire constituency of the PP 32 Gujarat by-election. At 18 polling stations, less than 10 percent of women cast their votes. More than 91 percent of votes were cast at some polling stations, while 832 votes were cast by people who are abroad or have died.
Member Election Commission Ikramullah Khan inquired as to how to prove that the voters are abroad, to which the petitioner’s counsel said that the death certificates of those who have passed away have been attached with the petition. Votes were cast in closed rooms under police supervision.
