Islamabad: The Election Commission Committee has started an investigation on the statement of rigging in the elections of Commissioner Rawalpindi.
The high-level investigation committee of the Election Commission has started its work in the matter of allegations against the Election Commission of Commissioner Rawalpindi.
Sources said that the committee wrote to PEMRA for the transcript of Liaquat Ali Chatta’s press conference. Six District Returning Officers of Rawalpindi Division also submitted written statements.
According to the sources, the statements of the returning officers of 13 constituencies of the National Assembly from Rawalpindi Division will also be recorded, the special committee will record the statements of the returning officers of 26 constituencies of the Provincial Assembly.
