ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee has approved the wheat procurement target during the year 2024.
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved the wheat procurement target during the year 2024. A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and the summary of the Ministry of National Food Security was approved in the meeting.
Sources ECC has approved wheat procurement target during the year 2024. ECC has also set wheat procurement targets for PASCO, Sindh province and Balochistan.
ECC also approved cash credit limit for wheat purchase, 274 billion rupees cash was also approved in the meeting, the amount will be taken from banks for wheat purchase and stock.
According to the sources, 24 lakh 50 thousand tons of wheat will be purchased for Sindh, Balochistan and Pasco, cash of 169 billion rupees was also approved for the purchase of wheat for Pasco.
Sindh will buy 1 million tons of wheat from 100 billion rupees, Balochistan will buy 50 thousand tons of wheat from 5.7 billion rupees.
