Heavy rains and floods in Afghanistan’s northern province of Baghlan have killed more than 300 people and hundreds are missing.
According to the United Nations, more than 1,000 houses have been destroyed in the northern regions of Afghanistan due to rains and floods, relief operations are ongoing in the affected areas.
According to the representative of Afghan National Disaster Response, 3 districts of Baghlan province are facing flood situation as a result of heavy rains. The Afghan government says that efforts are being made to help people in flood-affected areas.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has expressed grief over the loss of precious lives due to floods in Afghanistan, the Foreign Office said, standing with the Afghan people in this hour of sorrow.
