The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has dissolved the current selection committee headed by former cricketer Wahab Riaz.
The statement issued by the spokesperson PCB said that the new selection committee will make independent decisions on merit for the selection of the team.
The board has said that the new selection committee will be announced soon.
It should be noted that the head of the current selection committee was former cricketer Wahab Riaz, while the members included Wajahatullah Wasti, Tauseef Ahmed, Wasim Haider.
Similarly, the consultant members included Kamran Akmal, Rao Iftikhar Anjum and Manager Analyst Hasan Muzaffar Cheema.
Abdul Razzaq met Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi on the call of Chief Selector Wahab Riaz yesterday, and on this occasion he was also offered assistance in the improvement of cricket, which he accepted.
