The authority of the captain and head coach in the selection of the national cricket team was abolished, the PCB removed the captain, coach and non-voting members from the selection committee.
According to PCB sources, only five members selection committee will make the decision of fifteen member squad and playing eleven, head coach and captain’s opinion will be taken, the final decision will be taken by the selectors.
PCB says that the fifteen member squad will be decided by Aqib Javed, Azhar Ali, Aleem Dar, Asad Shafiq and Hasan Cheema, all the decisions will be made by this five member committee.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has reduced the number of committee members from seven to five, the captain and head coach’s voting rights have been abolished at the time of selection, the role of non-voting members in the selection committee has also been abolished.
