LAHORE: An attack on a police check post by terrorists in Mianwali was thwarted.
According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, the inter-provincial border posts are on high alert, meanwhile, a major terrorist attack has been thwarted, in which 12 to 13 terrorists attacked the Qubal Khan check post Mianwali from three sides late at night.
The terrorists fired fiercely at the police check post using modern weapons, on which the police personnel deployed at the check post foiled the attack of the terrorists with the best strategy and modern technology.
The terrorists retreated and escaped due to the heavy retaliatory action and firing by the police. DPO Mianwali reached the spot, after which a search operation has been started to arrest the terrorists.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while congratulating the police team for foiling the terrorist attack said that Punjab police personnel at the border police check post are frontline soldiers against terrorism.
He said that the police have always destroyed the nefarious intentions of the enemy by sacrificing precious lives. Punjab Police is a lead wall against terrorists in the border areas. Terrorists will never be allowed to succeed in their cause, will be uprooted.
