Antigua: In the 20th match of the ICCT20 World Cup, Scotland defeated Oman by 7 wickets.
Scotland have achieved the target of 150 runs in 13.1 overs and secured the first position in Group B.
In the match played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua, Oman won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 150 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Oman’s opener Pritik Othawali was the standout batsman from SE who played a brilliant innings of 54 runs, Ayan Khan scored 41 runs. Aqib Ilyas scored 16, Mehran Khan 13 and Naseem Khushi scored 10 runs.
Scotland bowler Sufyan Sharif picked up 2 wickets, while Chris Graves, Chris Soule, Brad Wheel and Mark Watt took 1 each.
Chasing the target, Gary Michael Jones was out for 21 runs for Scotland’s first wicket with 16 runs, George Monsey scored 41 runs. Brendan McMullen was the most outstanding batsman for Scotland who played an unbeaten innings of 61 runs.
On behalf of Oman, Bilal Khan, Mehran Khan and Aqib Ilyas dismissed one player each.
