London: The first match of the T20 series between Pakistan and England will be played today.
The first match of the series of 4 T20 matches between Pakistan and England will be played today in Leeds, England. The national team will be led by Babar Azam while the English team will be captained by Jos Buttler.
While giving a press conference before the match, captain Babar Azam said that the series with England is a golden opportunity to prepare before the World Cup. By winning the series, they will gain confidence for the World Cup.
He said that the World Cup combination has been thought of and I will play one-down.
Today’s match between Pakistan and England is likely to be affected by rain. According to the local Met Office, there is a 60 per cent chance of rain in Leeds. It will remain cloudy during the day, while the rain that started in the afternoon may continue till 12 midnight.
The second match of the four-match series will be played in Birmingham on May 25, while the third match will be played in Cardiff on May 28. The fourth and final T20 match will be played on May 30 in London.
