Lahore: Leader of PML-N Ishaq Dar says that Speaker’s job is to take oath in the first meeting and not to give production order.
Speaking to the media in the Punjab Assembly, PML-N leader Ishaq Dar said that the Speaker of the Punjab Assembly should have administered the oath to the members after reciting the Holy Quran. After taking the oath, the members would speak in the House. Speaker himself came 2 hours late.
Ishaq Dar said that it was not the first time that the number of members in the House was not complete. It has happened many times in the past that member notifications were issued later. There must be a legal reason for the seats blocked by the Election Commission.
Ishaq Dar further said that the announcement of the founder Tehreek-e-Insaf to write a letter to the IMF is both regrettable and condemnable. You are jeopardizing national security for personal gain. There will be a deal with the IMF and the coalition parties have been consulted. PTI’s letter will have no impact on the IMF programme.
