Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi has congratulated the national team for winning the second T20 match against Ireland.
In a tweet posted on social networking site X, he commented on the second T20 match between Ireland and Pakistan. “We needed this win against Ireland,” he wrote.
While appreciating opening batsman Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman, he said, Well done team! Especially the way Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman played. We need the same mindset in the World Cup.
The former captain said that most of the batsmen of the Pakistan cricket team have to play with the same strike rate.
On this occasion, Shahid Afridi also congratulated his son-in-law and fast bowler Shaheen Afridi for taking 300 international wickets.
It should be noted that Pakistan had to face defeat in the first T20 match against Ireland. In the second match of the series, the national team defeated the host team by 7 wickets to tie the series 1-1.
