ISLAMABAD: Tight security arrangements have been made in the federal capital due to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting.
Regarding the SCO Conference, Pakistan Army troops were deployed in Islamabad city. While the metro bus service will remain closed today from October 14 to October 17.
Islamabad Police also issued a traffic plan due to the SCO conference. According to which the road from Malpur to Dhokri Chowk, Kashmir Chowk and Serena Hotel will remain closed.
Murree Road will also remain closed from Rawal Dam Chowk to Kashmir Chowk, Serena Hotel. While the route from Malpur to Abpara through Srinagar highway will be closed. Alternative routes have been provided for those coming to Rawalpindi from Murree and Bhara Kahu.
Those coming from Murree and Bhara Kahu to Rawalpindi will be able to reach Faizabad via Coring Road, Bani Gala, Park Road, Rawal Dam Chowk. Use Ninth Avenue coming from Rawalpindi to Islamabad. While the Expressway will remain closed from Faisal Avenue to Zero Point and Coral Chowk.
Today, from October 14 to October 16, all types of heavy traffic will be closed in Islamabad.
