Kiev: 36 people have been killed and 140 people have been injured by Russian missile attacks in various cities, including the Children’s Hospital of Ukraine.
Ukraine’s largest children’s hospital, Omitdet Children’s Hospital, was severely damaged during the missile attack, resulting in the death of two people.
Russia has denied targeting the hospital, saying it was hit by shrapnel from a Ukrainian air defense missile, while Ukraine says it found remnants of a Russian cruise missile.
Andriy Yermak, chief of staff of President Vladimir Zelensky, told the media that 36 people were killed and 140 injured in these attacks.
According to reports, a large part of the Children’s Hospital has been destroyed, while another part is on fire, children have been evacuated from the hospital after the attack.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said the two people who died at the hospital were adults, one of whom was a doctor. He added that rescue workers fear that more people are buried under the debris.
