KARACHI: After the reduction in the price of gold in the global market, the price of gold has also been reduced in the local market.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce decreased by 17 dollars to the level of 2335 dollars.
Due to the decrease, the price of 24 karat gold per tola decreased by Rs. 1700 to Rs. 241200 and the price of gold per ten grams decreased by Rs. 1280 to Rs. 206790.
The representatives of the bullion market say that in view of the impact of purchasing power in the local bullion markets and the significant reduction in gold trading activities, the local price of gold has been kept undercast by 3000 rupees instead of the increase in the global price.
In contrast to the decrease in the price of gold, the price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs 2,900 and the price of silver per ten grams remained unchanged at Rs 2,486.28.
