Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Police has obtained arrest warrants against PTI leader and former federal minister Murad Saeed and former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi in various police stations related to terrorism and other cases related to May 9. .
The Cantt and Civil Line Circles of Potohar Division have sent a report according to which former Federal Minister Murad Saeed has been booked under the Terrorism Act and other serious provisions of the Cantt Police Station, Case 836/23 and Case No. 708/23 are named for whose arrest warrant has been obtained.
According to the report, no case has been registered against other persons including Senator Faisal Javed Khan, Azam Swati, Azhar Mashwani and Khurram Zeeshan in the five police stations of Kent Circle.
Former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has also been named in the cases namely Cantt Police Station Case No. 836/23 and RA Bazar Police Station Case No. 708/23 and arrest warrants have also been obtained for him in these cases.
According to the criminal record, case number 981/23 is registered against former federal minister Murad Saeed in police station civil line and case number 397/23 is registered in police station Morgah while former chief minister of Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi is registered in police station civil line. Case No. 981/23 is also registered.
With reference to Senator Faisal Javed, Senator Azam Swati, Azhar Mashwani and Khurram Zeeshan, it has been said that no case has been registered against them in Civil Lines Police Station and Morgah Police Station of Civil Line Circle and they are not named in any case.
