Motorway M2 from Lahore to Kot Sarwar was closed for traffic due to increase in fog and smog in Punjab.
According to Motorway Police Spokesman Syed Imran Ahmed, Sialkot Motorway has been closed due to fog and smog, while Motorway M4 has also been closed from Pindi Bhatian to Abdul Hakeem and Motorway M3 has been closed from Sarandi to Darkhana.
A spokesperson for the Motorway says that the motorways are closed to ensure public safety and safe travel and road users should prefer to travel during the best hours of the day. 10 am to 6 pm are the best travel times during the foggy season.
Spokesperson Motorway issued instructions to road users, saying that road users should use front and rear fog lights, avoid high speed and unnecessary travel and keep proper distance from the next vehicle.
