Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar says that PTI is making fun of Pakistan Army along with India, Pakistan Army is the guarantee of our survival, some line should not be crossed and those who do so will not be forgiven.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, the Federal Minister of Information said that mockery of the martyrs is not acceptable, those who are responsible are campaigning for their own political interests, so they will be brought to book, if the country’s interest. And if they make fun of the martyrs, they will not allow it.
Attaullah Tarar said that social media should be used responsibly, accounts insulting martyrs will be identified and action will be taken against them. Many accounts are being operated from abroad but some followers are also in Pakistan, making lists of people involved in Pakistan and abroad.
He said that criticize me and the political parties, what is the fight of martyrs with anyone? Fake accounts were reported, those who make fun of the martyrs are enemies of the country, where does the courage to insult these martyrs come from, first of all, Pakistan is a country, then there is politics and politicians.
The Federal Minister said that the Pakistan Army was mocked by creating fake accounts of ISPR, PTI mocked the sacrifices of the martyrs of Waziristan and the martyrs were also mocked in Lasbela. It is on record that they ran an insulting and derogatory campaign on social media regarding the sacrifices of the martyrs, we strongly condemn such heinous act.
Attaullah Tarar said that he wrote letters to the IMF and the May 9 incident, saying that the slogans against the IMF building were wrong. Breaking fast outside IMF building, protesting and raising anti-Pakistan slogans, PTI should openly condemn those who protested outside IMF and made fun of martyrs.
He said that the way of reconciliation should be opened with those who are not involved in the May 9 incident, but action should be taken against those who are seen in the CCTV footage of the May 9 incident. Names will be announced soon.
The Federal Minister said that the Prime Minister talked about reconciliation, when we were in the opposition, he talked about the economy, if something had been done at that time, the situation would have been different. The country will not be allowed to default, the recovery of the economy is underway. Government expenditure will have to be reduced and some institutions privatized, FBR will be restructured and the tax net will be increased while bringing the elite further into the tax net.
Attaullah Tarar said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the country will develop and take immediate steps to solve the problems facing the economy, solving the problems of the people is our priority. The Prime Minister of Pakistan gave his agenda as soon as he came to the economy, there is no day when the Prime Minister does not organize a meeting about the economy.
He said that a tragic incident of terrorism took place in North Waziristan in which the soldiers of the Pakistan Army were martyred. In this incident, 23-year-old Captain Muhammad Badr, who was the only brother of five sisters, was martyred. Khaki must have been brought to this house, so what must have happened there?
The federal minister said that our security agencies and people have made great sacrifices in the war against terrorism. It is because of their sacrifices that this country is standing today. We stand with the families of the martyrs. We pay tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs in the Waziristan incident and express our condolences to their families.
