Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that PTI has a history of peaceful protests and rallies, but according to the law, no protests can be held in the red zone.
Talking to foreign ambassadors in Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that a foreign delegation was visiting Pakistan on November 24 and on such an occasion, a party surprisingly announced a protest.
He said that in the past, the same party protested against the allegations of rigging in the elections and made a statement of 35 punctures, but the commission declared the claims of rigging false, however, the PTI leadership did not apologize for the false accusation as per the agreement.
He said that locations have been determined for any protest in Islamabad, the government held talks with them to stop the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from protesting in the red zone.
Ishaq Dar said that the resources of the provincial government were used to protest against the federation, in addition, weapons and shells of the provincial government were also used during the protest, but despite this, misrepresentation was made, why is PTI an expert in spreading fake news.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that the security of ambassadors is dearer to us than ourselves, protesting in the red zone has been prohibited through legislation, special laws have been implemented regarding the security of the red zone because the security of the red zone has always been our priority.
It should be noted that after the final call for protest given by Imran Khan on November 24, a protest march was held for Islamabad under the leadership of his wife Bushra Bibi and Chief Minister of Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur.
However, on November 26, after a clash between the march participants and the police, PTI workers ‘fleeed’ from the federal capital, after which Ali Amin Gandapur and PTI leaders presented conflicting figures claiming the death of workers.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur shared the figures of the deaths of hundreds of workers in a press conference, Latif Khosa 278 workers, Salman Akram Raja 20, and Shoaib Shaheen 08 workers on various media platforms.
Federal government, Islamabad and Rawalpindi police officials had said that the protesters opened fire on police personnel posted on security duty, targeted them with sticks, batons and spears. More than 170 police personnel have been injured in violent protests at several places, who are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
