Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises objected to a schedule clash with the Indian Premier League (IPL).
According to the details, the meeting of PSL Cricket Committee was held yesterday, it considered the suggestions to bring innovation in the event including the schedule of the tenth edition, PCB had sent the proposed schedule of the next edition to the franchises a few days ago. According to which the start will be on April 12 while the final will be on May 20, the schedule is directly clashing with the IPL, the franchise is not happy with it and they have jointly informed the board about their concerns in the meeting.
Franchises say that another window should be found for the league so that big players can come to Pakistan. If the dollar will be given to a foreign cricketer, how much will be paid to its star player? He will also object that why he is being given less money.
Proposals like impact player and bat tossing instead of coin toss to bring innovation in the league were rejected by the franchises, according to them, this is being done in other leagues too, so how did the innovation come about?
It should be noted that the impact player law is being criticized during the IPL, it may be possible to abolish it in the next event, bat toss has been happening in the Big Bash for many years, now the PCB is talking about the meeting.
